"My Bad, Vol. 3"

This is a House mix with a pronounced ambient flavor and dub-type arrangements with some Deep and Techno added for variety.

I edited the properties of each track in order to harmonize the transitions...some of which are basic 16-bar, and others which extend to 40 bars. I then took the time to line up each beat marker within the sprockets...up to 40 markers for some transitions. That made it more of a task rather than a pleasure, but I persisted.

This is the first mix that I used a cut-and-paste approach repeatdly - on one succeeding track, which made the perception of hearing a separate track difficult to detect...a result that was desired. For me, this will open the door for me to create legitimate remixes.

I hope you enjoy this half as much as you enjoy Madame Fly's creations. She has pointed my ear in the direction of ambient mixes, and this one is at least a nod in that direction.

I was known as "The Baltimore Boogie Man" and had previously submitted mixes to Jack2it...one was featured with their end-of-the-year sets.

I had some unusual log-in problems, so I finally re-registered with a similar handle.

Looks like I'll have to re-earn my "Senior Beatmixer" status...

ps...Vol. 1 was submitted to Jack2it but I requested a "stay of execution" when I discovered two overlooked objectional words after I had uploaded it. I still need to re-edit that. The flavor seems more appropriate for "Selector's Choice" as it is more on a Pop/R&B remix tip.

Vol. 2 is really Vol.3, but for some reason (haste?) I opened MixMeister and found my mix with the default title "Unlisted". Rather than to risk loss of the "mmp" playlist altogether, I did a fresh "Save" as Vol. 3.

It's sort of "laid back"...hope you like it!

I found virtually every track in this mix at Download.com. All are relatively recent and prior to my downloads, I had not heard of any of the artists!

Obviously, some of them deserve Ears!

CORRECTION: VOL.5...as Harborplace After Dark...and it is currently on the Jack2it playlist!
