Although lots of people will tell you that they really dig your style, not everyone comes prepared to demonstrate the truth of that compliment ... but Stilly did. You may have seen his forum comments on various BeatConscious mixes ... now we can see just what he was talking about when he said "good to know there's some one like me out there."
Presenting his first mix for the BeatConscious show under the DJ name The A.o.E., he's served up a lovely 80 minutes of incontestable flow and sweet mixing ... oh, and may I mention that he's using MM3 to work this magic, a tribute both to his skill and to MixMeister's fine program (I think this is the oldest version still in use out there, but holla if you're working with anything older than version 3.) Time for comments from the DJ..... I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

Thank you for coming
i think we'll keep this title madame fly. it's fitting. this mix was inspired by this very station, and mainly it's makers of music. i've heard a few mixes here, not as many as i'd like but a few. all have impressed me. if someone gets a moments happiness from mine, then it was worth it. i had only a small amount of mp3's to play with, not my full libary (i'm renaming, reconverting, and wishing i'd never started {{oops, my fault, I never mentioned that playlists of mixes currently in rotation are not permitted on the forum. MmeFLY}} in this mix you'll find my heritage of dance music, i got into dance during the balearics(Andy weatherall bein god at the time) of the early 90's hence the lemon jelly intro, trying to guess the year of hoomba hoomba, and the sandals track (from the mighty leftfields hard hands label, and check those crow samples,), after this period i moved into the Wall of sound (kontakte), and skint ( scratchy muffin) which would later evolve into big beat. the chemical brother suddenly appeared in 94, and have, like all great artists, have developed, yet remained the same, delivering music thats still new, yet feels so familiar. FC Kahuna, kinobe, blue states came soon after, as did kid loco, who is amazing and gets 2 tracks and a remix for his troubles. in 1996 i bought super discount which introduced me too Etienne de Crecy, who's tracks are so good at lying under anothers, and giving it another edge. we have later additions from skint in the lo fi allstars, and from wall of sound with Röyksopp, who deserved two tracks, just because they are excellent, and the night out one is different class, i love the guitar sound, and the "yeah " vocal midway through, (makes me look around to see who's in me 'kin room) sounds like a band havin a jam. the music i'm into now is pretty much the same, yet totally different, it's been repackaged, giving another name. jem sounds fresh and new, yet could easily have been in the trip hop years. the last two tracks are from bootleggers,or top class remixers, as i'd like to call them, go home prodution so both tunes are my homage to andy weatherall, both contain his mix of my bloody valentines soon, but both are mashed with 2 more top ditties. you lucky, lucky bast... there are also two unkown tracks. i think i have the song titles, but wouldn't bet on it, if anyone can name them, i'll post you a mars bar. i dedicate this mix to Madame Fly, who without, you'd never have heard it. not just in her help in getting it to this stage. but because after hearing some of her mixes on this very station, i felt complelled to repay her, in the only way i know how. feel free to comment i came here to learn and share, with likeminded people. that's you that is. while i've been tidying up the web pages, this has been my company and delight (and a couple of other folks' also, to judge by the listener count) ... it's mostly a hypnotic set but has a share of wide-awake bits like the "title moment" from the Kinobe track Theatricks ... the eponymous "Thank you for coming" ... and the mashup at the end from gohome productions, Breakin' my Bloody Process ... yeah
hoping for another like this sometime I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

It's like Deja Vu...i'm telling you man....this track just grabs me, and it won't let me go....I'm quite happy that I get to capture this mix again, especially before it makes a disappearance. I just have one last comment Stilly...You need to drop another set like this on us...especially since MmFly is doing her rounds of clean-up Twisted Rook Co-Host of jack2it and Radio Active Fusion - R.A.F. on MMRadio Moderator Staff Member Twisted Rook @ MySpace |

retouched this mix up, as i'm a pro 6 user now, and it was first done on mm3,
i was surprised but how much more i could do to it with the newer version, mostly key changes, and being able to reverse a swear word, rather then fade it out, also i removed one tune, because i just couldn't find it anywhere anyways i hardly had to changed any transistions, moved a few sprockets mind, but mostly it's as it was, but sounds a whole lot better, and i was able to submit it myself. mixmeister changed my life .. u |
