Here's a little High Summer offering, and maybe I should be calling it "Cabin Fever, Part One" because I suspect we have a lot more hot weather still to come ... and I plan to contend with it in the same way -- hanging out inside under A/C. Some folks would get antsy, but then, they probably don't have MixMeister to distract them

During the course of this set, you'll hear distractants from lesser-known artists like Monte La Rue, Mark Gorbulew, Stargazer, Ambient Rhythms and Lux as well classics from Lamb, Rithma and Sofa Surfers.

Other notable additions come from Toye whose track Banana Jazz Hop on the 2002 Shadow compilation Hed Sessions, Vol. 2 is a real ear-opener. You'll also hear a couple of tracks apiece from BeatConscious favorites The Warheads and All India Radio, both from their newest releases (internet only at this point.) And, yes, the Warheads' tracks really are called "Scene 1" etc. -- they are from the soundtrack "Nihon Noir"....

Finally, mad props to James Foster who records as "Proof of Concept" ... this was a myspace touch that turned out to be gold ... his track View from Above doves in right after the ever-amazing Five from Lamb and easily holds its own in such stellar company.

Add to all this a couple of "live show" moments courtesy of clips from Bonobo, DJ Cam and Mo' Horizons and you have the makings of a happy hour+ of distraction from your current bout of Cabin Fever ....

TPS time ... what better way to use the hours while waiting for the current weather event to move through our area ... and since there was no interruption to power, that meant I could MM to my heart's content.

Basically, I found the various overlays too loud, so I dropped the volume on them .....
