The more I dug around on the TripHop shelves, the more cool stuff I found ... so Part 2 was inevitable
Once again classics share the mix with newer creations that prove the TripHop sound still has the power to please.... Lamb, St. Etienne, DJ Shadow, Beanfield and a Portishead remix of Paul Weller's Wild Wood are balanced by tracks from Noorda and Index ID. And those William Orbit tracks you heard a million times in 1998 ... don't they sound good now that they've had a rest? Your comments are welcome, as always.... I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

This one struck me as needing a bit of TPS, so you'll find a new version has replaced the old one.
As for the title of this mix, I'm guessing a few will catch the reference to Edith Piaf's La Vie en Rose ... which means, Life is rosy. I guess La Vie en Noir could mean Life is rough. I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

It's crazy, I know, but that V-Love track was totally overlooked by me when I originally bought that Trip Hop Test compilation back in '97 or '98 ... then when I ripped the CD to the hard drive to work on this set, it stood out like a beacon. And that, my friends, is why I never never never get rid of music: You just never know what's going to "ripen up" and become your new favorite track
It's good to know you're feelin' this one, Papa ... I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

I thought a rework was in order on this one...if you were a fan of this mix, you might enjoy the change as much as I do

What exactly did you re-work??? Was it a track re-arangement thing or removing some tracks altogether??
