Well, as you might have noticed I've been trying to broaden my view lately and strolled through more upbeat genres. But since I've been officially appointed co-host of this lovely channel, I had to turn back to my roots and the theme of BeatConscious: This station is licensed to chill.

So I dug a little in my Library and tried to accomplish a set that has a little bit of each, or at least more than just one, BC influence ... essential Chill-out, cinematic Nu-Jazz, soulful House, atmospheric Drum'n'Bass. And even though there are recurring motives in the mix, I tend to think of it as spanning over a variety of Chill-out directions.

Now why did I call this mix Cohesion? Cohesion means the intermolecular attraction between like-molecules and, in this context, refers to a particular force of nature. Accordingly, the title is meant to pay tribute the powers made available by MixMeister: Each and every time I develop a new mix, I'm amazed how well MM achieves to translate what I have in mind, and directs me to places I wouldn't have dared to dream of ... and it provides for cohesive powers that could probably tie together ambient and Bavarian folk dance (Selector's Choice: Watch out!!! ).

Ok, enough brain talk ... the mix features: Poets of Thought, Rosalia de Souza, Laine, Doc Scott, Meitz, Feist, Just Banks, Voodoo Warriors of Love, and many many more...
