Hi Guys,
just like to start by saying VISTA is the crappest software ever! "i am intitled to my own opinion"

I purchased this laptop and it came with Creator Basic 7 installed on it. The Cd/DVD/lightscribe drive reads discs and lets me burn cds in Creator no problems...

BUT when i try burn cds in mixmeister pro 6 it cant find the drive?

I have the same problem trying to burn in itunes also....

the only thing i can think of is creator is blocking out other software from seeing the drive?

I have the same setup on my desktop running xp and i dont have any issues...but i have nero instead of creator that is the only difference.

here are the specs of my laptop - any help would be awsome!

Could be. Nero gave me this issue for Fusion and Studio 6 until I slashed it off the drive. Is there any way of uninstalling Creator? Maybe just use ITunes and MM?

I know that ITunes truly can't "burn-to-disc" like creator and Nero...but just an idea.

have taken my laptop to a computer store - getting it reimaged. Apprently it is the HP backup software that causes things not to run properly on hp computers....

hopefuly this will sort out my issues.

got laptop back - working sweet and and gained an extra 15gb - i recomend to all HP Pravilion laptop Vista owners - get your pc reimaged by a pc technician and all programs seem to run fine. !!!!
