Ok I am having a very serious issue, I have tried every possibility to no avail. When I am running preform on rear channel, and preview on front on my X-Fi (like I have always done with my audigy 2 Platinum)...my preform sound is playing on both the front and rear. Anything I preview comes through just the front (which is what it is suppose to) and fortunatly does not mix into my preform. This issue is ****ing me off because I cant hear my preview channel as it is overdriven by the preform channel. The only good thing is I can get by without my preview mixing into my live preformance. Has anyone had this issue with an X-Fi, and do they know a solution (as running a 2nd X-Fi does not work due to the blue screen of death caused by them sharing the same driver file). I suspect that creative configured the front drive bay headphone plug to merge all of the channels (4.0/1, 5.1, 6.1 & 7.1) to downmix to 2.0 so that people can leave it on that setting for their speakers and not have to change it when they use their headphones (it only makes sence for watching movies because if you didnt change it back before, the center/voice channel wouldnt be heard untill you changed the sound card to 2.0) Hopefully I am wrong and I am missing either a creative or mixmeister setting...because if that is the case, creative f*** their entire DJ clientel and in my opinion owe me a refund because I bought the pro specifically for the audio creatin ability...just doesnt make sence for them to fuddge what worked before. Please, any input would make me happy.
