I have been using legal Mixmeister Pro v6 on a Vista machine (and previously on WinXP pro) without any problems for the past year or so. However recently during a live DJ nights, the software freezes for no apparent reason. This has happened a few times.
I re-installed Mixmeister and recreated the plots. This did resolve the problem for a while, however it has now returned again. The plot files and music are stored on an external Hard-drive and I think the Ext HD is okay. I am thinking that if Windows Vista closes or shuts down unexpectedly, this might corrupt the exe (or similar engine files) or perhaps corrupt the plot files. Can anybody confirm this or perhaps offer some help. Thanks for your time |

ssmith,
Have you checked the Event logger to see what it reported during those freeze times? I don't know how to access it in Vista, but in Windows XP it's: Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> System Good luck! Live, Love, and Dance, DJ_Edgy |
