Hi, I have recently bought Studio and have been able to export mixes to .wav or .mp3 format, until my most recent mix. Basically the export is only taking the first three tracks of my mix and is going blank for the rest. The exported file is the same size as the mix but has no sound from the forth track onwards. The mix works fine when you play it Studio. Can anyone help as this is very frustrating? Thanks!

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. Everything was fine until I installed the recent update. After the update mixes played within Studio OK, but when I exported them the entire file was blank.
I found that reinstalling the original version of Studio worked for me, so if you've recently installed the update it may be worth either doing a system roll back, or uninstalling and reinstalling. Although, if you've recently bought Studio 7 then the new update most probably is already hard coded into the install file.....if so you will need to contact support. It's also worth checking you have the most up to date drivers for your sound card. HTH |

is there anything within a specific mp3 file that might cause it to fail? i have a playlist of around 12 songs and every time i try exporting it stops (all that remains on the output file is silence) on the second song... but if it makes it past that second song, it stops during the sixth song.
i've tried copying the playlist over to a new file, i've tried removing the mp3 from my library and adding it back.... but nothing works. to see whether it was a mixmeister problem, i tried exporting an old playlist and that worked fine. has anyone found a work-around for this issue? |

Having same problem and its freaking me out. I have an hour and a half mix. It plays back in mixmeister perfectly, once i export to wav or mp3 it goes to the exact same spot on the song and stops recording audio but takes up the full disc space of the mix. I updated as well, no luck. Please tell me someone found a solutions. thanks.

I have exactly the same problem.
I created a mix in 7.0.8 and it exported fine. I recently updated to 7.1.1 and made a few tweaks to the mix. Now when I export I only get the first 3 songs and then silence for the remainder of the mix. I have tried rolling back to 7.0.8 but it makes no difference. I have an open ticket with MixMeister but hoping someone here might be able to shed some light. Thanks in advance. I just removed loop markers from all the tracks in the mix and tried exporting again. So far so good.
I'd suggest for you guys to try the same. To remove a loop marker from a track play the track and click on the little (X) button in the looping tab to the left of the track. |

My friend have contacted MM. They didn't know what is the cause of the problem. And they didn't do anything about it. That's why noone has any answer. |

As I mentioned above, I think a workaround is to remove the loops from all the tracks before exporting. Once I had done that, export to wav/mp3 started working fine.

In a quality software there is no need for 'workarounds'. If nobody from MM do not make update of the software regarding this problem, I will stop using this, as this is crap. Also I will make sure that all pro-boards get real information's about this poor software advertised on-line as 'one of the best'...

If you are having a problem with the software, you should be contacting MM tech support yourself. Tech support is available to all registered users of the software. Sitting back and relying on someone else's reaction to a tech support submission will not necessarily accomplish anything to resolve your problem. A "he said, she said" approach here, where you don't have any idea what that user specifically reported, isn't going to help you. Also, if you are reporting problems as a user of pirated software, and I'm not assuming that you are, what's the point in that? Those users can't complain about something they don't pay for.
If you are having problems and need to contact tech support, do so, and continue to stay in contact with them until your problem is resolved. http://www.mixmeister.com/support_morehelp.html Tech support must be able to correlate problems of this nature, identify similarities, so that they can identify a bug, if applicable, or can identify a problem unique to your installation on your machine to be able to help you correct it. You must be able to provide them specific details concerning your installation, your OS base, other software in your system and your hardware. Without such information, and with a vast majority of users NOT experiencing these issues, the odds of tech support finding an answer for you is diminished if you do not pursue the problem with any sort of dedication. I think that if you browse around the forum here, you will find that the correct way to get a suitable response here or from tech support that is positive and provides a solution for you means that you have to work at it, at least to a certain extent. Tech support is a two-way street. Be detailed, be aggressive and be insistent. Know what you're reporting--be able to report with knowledge and detail your problem in connection with your specific installation on your specific platform Tim, Co-host of Jack2It MMRadio |

Same here. I've been exporting my mixes using the same approach into MP3. All of the sudden, my 79 min mix stops at the 66th minute and the blank (silence) all the way to the end. I submitted my request to technical support last night. If I get something, I'll post it for all of you ... this is just terrible ....

I had something like this happen when a bunch of tracks didn't make it into an export... what I found was that not all of the tracks were "checked off" on the left (i.e. "lit up) when I did the export. When I went back and made sure they were all "selected" and I exported again, all was fine.
I hope it works for you! |
