I guess it will be a complete re download of the software.

Which OS X update? The 10.5.2 update? I put that on my Mac and have no problems starting up/using MixMeister Studio.

Yes, mm will not launch (for some it seems)after updating to 10.5.2

Has there been a fix yet?

I haven't had any problems launching MM after installing the 10.5.2 update on my Mac. I installed 10.5.2 the day it came out and just used MM a couple days ago to mix some songs and then burn a CD. There's some kind of graphics update for OS X that doesn't show up until after 10.5.2 is installed, and I immediately installed that after installing 10.5.2. Some people aren't aware of that and haven't installed it. Did you install that? Maybe there's something in that graphics update that fixes whatever 10.5.2 breaks in MM? I'm just mentioning anything I can think of. There haven't been any MM updates that I know of.

Good thinking and just tried it, you are correct about the update that did not show up first time, alas mm still will not launch for me.

I appreciate your input.

I set up a mix on the demo. Bought it and for a good 2-3 hrs it was working just find, until i put 2 effects on an overlay. Crash #1. Lost all adjustments in that time. oh well, I didn't save it periodically. Reopened the mix and got through 10-20 mins before it quit again. Rebooted. MM Studio 7.2.3 now won't launch. Damn! I was so loving this app.

I hope they're working on a 7.2.4!!! or does anybody know where to get 7.2.2 for non-Leopard users?

Hopefully, you have clearly explained to them your problem, that you are using one of the final releases of Tiger, and haven't moved to Leopard. I am well aware of the whole Tiger vs. Leopard debate, so hopefully they are too and are prepared to support the differences.

In terms of that, the recent Fusion patch release in Leopard--moving from Fusion 7.2.2 to 7.2.3--was a response to a change to the Leopard OS in the recent 10.5.2 OS-X patch release, so it seems that the new version of Fusion, 7.2.3, might be incompatible with at least some or all releases previous to OS X 10.5.2.

In terms of that, they need to be aware, and should ideally have a version checker in their install process that performs the Fusion installation based on these considerations. Apparently they don't. So until that can be addressed, you likely need the original Fusion release for OS X, 7.2.2.

Fusion for OS X is very new, so I know they are grappling with these support issues even as we speak. If you don't hear back from them within a reasonable amount of time, please notify us here, and I'll try to elevate this forward for you directly to the top of the development chain.

Thanks!

To be compatible with Leopard, you'll probably need to revert to the earlier Fusion/Mac release. Otherwise, you'll probably need to get current with Tiger.

If you feel you must run Leopard, contact technical support directly to see if there are any known workarounds, but I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed in that regard.
