I just registered to this forum and am a total "Newbie". My question is very general. I am trying to add sound to digital slide shows. Will the mixmeister let me record voice over a background melody (like tape mixers)?
If yes is there a book, tutorial or manual that I can use?
I would appreciate any help and/or suggestions.

You could easily do this... Mixmeister doesn't record from a source so you would need to use another application (windows recorder) to record your voice and then import that into MM and overlay the vocal on top of your music.
