Hi Guys,
I'm looking to get into mixing using MixMeister Fusion. I already have a pair of Technics 1210's and a Pioneer DJM 600 mixer. I also have an HP nc6230 laptop which has an onboard soundcard. Please can you give me some advice what additional equipment I will need? I'm assuming I will need some kind of midi controller with sound card capabilities? Please can you recommend a hardware setup that will make the laptop work with Mix Meister in a similar way as I'm used to with my turntables & mixer? Ideally, I would like to make my Mix Meister setup as portable as possible. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated ;-) Kindest Regards, Greg. |

Mixing totally with any software is different from traditional turntables and cjds connected to mixer.
For MixMeister Fusion, you will need the following: 1. MixMeister Fusion (Of Course) 2. Windows Based PC (Desktop Or Laptop) 3. 2 seperate sound cards (one for output to the main club speakers and the other to make ure tracks ready in your headphones) or perhaps a soundcard with 4 channl RCA ouptuts (again one for output to the main club speakers and the other to make ure tracks ready in your headphones) 4. A USB Midi controller to send data to MixMeister Fusion to control the volume, bass, treble etc. (You dont have to have a midi controller if you are prepared to do the work with mouse and keyboard but it makes sense also u look a bit pro with it working on Fusion, at least posing to be) 5. Audio cables etc You said you have a laptop with an onboard sound card then invest in an external USB sound card which are going for quite reasonable prices these days. |
