Mix is finished. Trying to record to cd but when I hit file, create cd, it tells me it is unable to initialize the cd-r engine. Any suggestions? Confused

I had the same problem, which I didn't find a solution to in this forum, until I came across another web site which gave me the answer:

Mixmeister uses GEAR Software drivers, and you need to update these - even if you haven't actually installed GEAR software yourself:

GEAR Software driver link

Once I ran the installer, Mixmeister recognized my CD/DVD-RW drive

along the same lines, i guess... last night i went to burn a mix. the first cd recorded with no issues. when i went to burn the second cd, the program went through the mix once, getting to 50%, then just stopped. that happened 3 times. I ultimately restarted mm and everything was fine.

Thanks JM. I downloaded the GEAR software and it worked like a charm. I was really getting ****** and now I am happy. Cheers!

Edit - Please refrain from using offensive language on the boards, thanks. Wildr

I'm currently having this issue, do you need to download the free trial or just the drivers?

For anyone having trouble with Windows 7 and Fusion 7.2 the GEAR drivers still do the trick. . Nice. Smile
