I know this prob. has been posted before, but non of the pre-answers helped me. My fusion has been working perfectly for sereral month but all of a sudden I can´t burn Cd´s no more. Whenever I hit the "burn playlist onto a audio CD" button I get this message: "Unable to initialize CD-R engine"
I reinstalled MMF I reinstalled my CD-R driver. I installed the GEAR CD-RW 7.0 trail Nothing helped and Im´slowly getting insane... |

I don't believe it's a national secret, I believe it's hardware/driver related.
Since none of us are hardware/driver programmers this topic is usually pushed off to the official MM support, since they are the ones with the know how. |

Year - but still it´s a bit silly to wait for a support-answer, since it´s a returning prob. for users.
I have dealt whit this for a week now; sometimes it works, sometimes not?? Don´t understand?? I now just export to files and then burn with Nero or winamp marking the "burn without gabs between numbers". |

let me get this straight,
you've been dealing with this for a week now, and decided to export every mix to file, then burn with a 3rd party app, instead of sending one e-mail to support. I wonder why that would be if you're looking for a crack here, then you must be on some. |

Phreaq is correct. Cd-burning problems are diversely related to drivers for/compatibility with your CD-burners as well as what other CD-burning software has managed to do to your system registry. The more burning applications installed, the more likely you are to have troubles.
Cd-burning can often stop functioning in Windows, even without the use of MM Software, hence all the Microsoft knowledgebase articles on the subject. If you have a valid license key, please refer all CD-burning troubles directly to tech support for resolution: http://www.mixmeister.com/support_morehelp.html Or call, 1-888-800-0681 ...and they will be more than happy to assist you, often with a very quick fix.
