Dutch DJ's have been at the center of most of the dance music in Europe. I decided, that since some of my favorite DJ's are dutch, I'd collaborate an Old School mix celebrating the tradition they brought to their country, to all of Europe and the rest of The World.

The Dutch Trance Scene doesn't necessarily mean only Dutch produced trance tracks though. This mix is more of a definition of their style of play ; DJ Tiesto, Cor Fijneman, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, etc..had a distinct and equally amazing style of mixed sets during the mid-90's to the early 2000's. Of course this style of play is all but lost with more and more commercialism setting in, and it being more and more about the money and the fame, a sad but true tale of the evolution of trance music.

In this set I spin my own flavor of trance tracks from that era of music, with tracks ranging from the 1995 to 2003, the years when they were in their prime. I hope you all enjoy, and take time to remember the good ol' roots of dutch defined trance music.

This set will be interesting. I love the extended tweeking of effects and long drawn out trance lines 32 to 64 measures at times and the more epic sound of 90's and early 2000's trance. I've noticed that vocal trance has swung towards a more pop sound in the past few years which I've shy away from. Accidia - Yes... have not heard 'Into to Dawn' in a while - what a smooth inspiring classic track - cruzin'/trancin' music.
