The year is 1999 and the rave scene in Atlanta is more popular than ever. I've been working hard on designing a set for Deepsky's debut appearance here in Atlanta. I'm also fortunate enough to be the DJ who will be spinning before Deepsky, so it will be very important to get the place energized before their performance.

This is an exact replication of the set that was played that night, it was also the first time that I began working with the new "Hi-Energy" music that was filtering in from Europe (1st gen euphoric stuff). The set was so well received that I pretty much used this type of music for every live performance thereafter. Over the summer, while I remaster my entire live collection, I will select a few of my favorites and drop them off here for a bit. Hopefully some of the tunes will bring back some great memories of parties that we wished lasted forever.


Now that the set has been added to the schedule, how will this near decade old mix stand up to the Trance of modern day??? Let the party begin! And don't forget to drop a comment in the box below.

Eclypse! dude..this sounds awesome!! I love hearing stories of raves of the old days...it was before my time into the scene of dance music. I think at this time I was only in 8th grade..and listening to RAP!! ewww...I cant wait to listen to this set and hear how you hammered it out back in the day!

Fieds! 8th grade huh. Well dropping Rap for Trance is not such a bad thing, but most kids get swallowed up by it(rap) and never return. Anyway, I'm glad you made the transition, because I've enjoyed listening to your mixes.

Thanks D-MIXX for the feedback on this set. I haven't had a chance to hear it myself and was hoping by now it woulda crawled its way outta the late night/early morn' spot, but with all of these new uploads, the rotation in the schedule seems to have come to a halt. So, to help me out, use up some of those 82k tracks (that's alotta music my friend) and get some more uploads to us so the rotation will start moving again.

eclypse... while it's true the current translucent schedule seems to be growing daily, it is my intention to refresh the list every 2 weeks by 'rearranging' things. hopefully this will help get sets airing at different time slots.

My house is bumpin right now!!!

I so loved this mix Eclypse! old school trance from the mid and late 90's was and is seriously the best era for trance, its so entralling and moving..bumpin too, definitely not like todays trance where most every song sounds about the same. ive been on somewhat of a old school trance binge and this mix definitely fulfilled that craving..

you definitely need to keep this going, making more retro mixes from back in the day, I will definitely be here to catch them!!
