I'm practising with MM 5 express demo, when I import tracks to the MM catalog, the program automatically calculates the BPM rate, but it gives me funny results. Some of the tracks are OK, some slow tracks are tagged with a very high BPM rate, which is not true. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot

Hi Daniele, yup, all slow tracjs come out like that, i have never come across a work around for it either. I have some R&B tacks that would easily mix using vinyl at between 95BPM or 105BPM but MM shows them to be 140BPM or 85 BMP. The only way i have ever got any results with these tracks is not to beatmix them and just lay them over the top somehow. The Slow tracks are also the same, but one saving grace is i'd never mix slower songs with anything else but slower songs.

quite often slow tracks will report at double their bpm. I'm not sure if it's the same in Express as other releases but you can go into the track properties and there are buttons for 1/2x and 2x bpm to adjust the calculated result in these situations.

Thank you Bryan. You're right about mixing slower tracks, but you know, sometimes I've to create some kind of relaxing compilation for when I'm giving parties for older folks. By the way do you know if there is any program for BPM recognition around the web?
