Hi,

I have an issue with the Catalog "Save PlayList As ..." feature. When I use this option, I end up with a file considerably smaller than the original mmp file, and the missing data appears to be the actual mix data. That is, when I open up the new mmp file, there is NO mix.

I came across this issue after renaming an mmp and subsequently opening it only to find that mix data was now gone. When I restored the original filename and reopened it, the mix was now apparent.

So there are two (serious) issues with MMX5:

First, I cannot rename an mmp file. Second, the "Save As ..." saves an incomplete copy of the original mmp.

Hmmm... I can't seem to duplicate your problem. When you say there's "no mix data," can you be more specific? Do you just get tracks listed in the Playlist with default transitions between them, or something else?

Also, is this related to a particular playlist you're working on? For example, what happens when you close all playlists, and build a new one from scratch? Can you then rename that one without problems?

I can't rename it. That causes the other problem.

What I don't see is the playlist. I see the catalog, but the playlist is empty. When I did a "Save As", I got an mmp file almost half the size as my original.

If your playlist is empty, that's got to be the source of the problem, and whether or not you rename it using "Save As" is probably secondary. It sounds like for one reason or another the original playlist you were working on has become corrupted.

Let me ask you again to try to see if this is an isolated problem or a more widespread one... Close any playlist that you have open, and then close MixMeister. Restart MixMeister and at this point you should have no playlist open. Build a new one with a couple of songs in it, and then try File, Save Playlist.

Now try modifying it and saving it using File, Save Playlist As. Do you still have the problem?

nailed it! Your steps helped me isolate the issue. It's a problem with spaces and the open by file-association. Here's how to reproduce it:

- Create a playlist and save it to a filename with no spaces.
- Close the playlist.
- find the playlist in explorer.
- double-click it to open it.
- close the app again.
- Rename the playlist to a name containing spaces.
- double-click it.

This time the app should open without your playlist showing. The problem is the open action has the following command:

"C:\Program Files\MixMeister Express 5\MmExpress.exe" %1

I corrected to this:

"C:\Program Files\MixMeister Express 5\MmExpress.exe" "%1"

problem solved!

Indeed, and thank you for help! But note what I said about the open command for the file-association. That should be corrected.

Also, my other issues (though less serious) still exist.
