Yesterday i downloaded Express 5

I don't understand very well English and i may have missunderstood some things.
What i need is to drug tracks from cd directly to the catalog.
Is this posible with Express 5?
Or have to convert the cd format to another so to be compatible with express 5?
Is there any freeware program to use in this case?Beginner
