Hiding tracks by rating and/or genre. I do a 'find similar track search' and it throws up Cliff Richard, Black Lace, Jingle Bells etc. when I'm looking for drum and base track, not fun at all!

I need to filter tracks, they need to be in the library but hidden.

Once I started to incorporate wedding, birthday and other specialty tunes into my library I created separate Categories for them however You Are Correct, once you do a search in “Entire Library” all this stuff comes up. Even if they came up with a way to turn those categories off.

Now there’s a thought… To have the choice to temporary tune off a Category and when it is turned off do not let it (or any of the catigories tunes) show in the “Entire Library” search.

What do you think of that?

If I read you correctly you're suggesting ... you have a category 'wedding' you could hide it, tracks would not appear on random searches but they are still in your library. Correct?

That is definitely what my existing wish list item has been -- to hide an entire category, e.g., my Loops/Samples category, when I am looking at "entire library" ... I take your request to be to ALSO filter an entire category out of any search that is done, e.g., suggest similar tracks.

Put another way if I'm using MM all I want to see are house, r&b, dance, drum and bass tracks ... NO heavy metal, ballroom, swing, comedy, disco, slowies NOTHING! I want those away from my work place.

Yes, to turn off any Categories you do not want to see in the “Entire Library” but the ability to open any locked category simply by going to that category on an individual basis. Note: not to lock the category it self but just to lock it out of the “Entire Library”.
