I put that exact question to MM customer support and (eventually) received this reply:

"There has not been a n update to Fusion + Video in awhile as you have noted. There is not an anticipated time for an update to Fusion + Video at this time. I have forwarded your concern to our developers. the team is currently hard at work on the new Mixmeister Controller."

...which I don't find particularly satisfatory since Fusion + Video is marketed as an upgrade to Fusion, but when you "upgrade" you actually go down a version of software and lose some of the new features.

Working on the new controller's all very well, but how about continuing to support the existing products too?

This is an issue that has always puzzled me. I don't understand why MMF+Video cannot be upgraded if it is similar to MMF but with video capabilities added on. Or is MM sugesting that MMF+Video is a totally different program from MMF? Furthermore, MMF+Video is marketed as MM's most expensive product. This is like purchasing a Merc CL600 (not that I own one) only to find out that Mercedes has introduced a new feature to the E-Class and to be told not sure when this will be available in the CL but if you wish to enjoy this new feature, downgrade to the E-Class!!!! At least, this is what I think MM is suggesting.

I understand MM is too busy working on the new controller but I thought the controller is being designed by Numark and it should be them making sure the controller works with the program. So, apart from offering support to the Numark engineers, I don't see what work they are too busy doing unless they are having to re-write MMF to work with the controller.

I guess it is quiet obvious that I'm not happy about this situation. Why make an upgrade available to MMF and not MMF+Video if it is marketed as an upgrade to MMF? I will not have mind if no upgrade was available at all. Anyway, I've said enough now. Let me get back to my work before my boss tells me off.

MM we need satisfactory explanation to what has been given already.

There are a variety of problems, in terms of stability, related to the release of MM Fusion on the PC due to the problematic video drivers from a variety of video chip vendors. If you browse around the forum here, you will see some of those, particularly with respect to Nvidia's video drivers. There has been continued discussion about this. Windows can become unstable in connection with Fusion and these alone, so these problems could become exacerbated with the video product. If anyone from Mixmeister development and support would like to contraindicate this, please do so NOW.

That's really all I think anyone here can tell you at this time.

And, I do apologize for your inconvenience.

I too was hoping for MMFV 7.2.2 as well. The whole thing probaly needs to be re-worked because all of MM competitors are supporting Mp4 and all other codecs.

It seems wrong to worry about a controller first. I feel slighted in reading the MM support answer in the 2nd post. A controller would be for opening a new market to less smarter Djs. Since I am in the for front of my business and the fact the controller is given priority makes it so that less than professionals can catch up and takeover.... that's just wrong... Very Wrong.... We have trusted MM for so much yet we get thrown away at the prospect of "two birds in bush" mentality. MM should follow through on their current promises. I won't quote them it would take to long.

The controller is useless to most of the current users. They are content using a mouse and keyboard? More than likely the controller will be bundled to sell both it and Fusion. Buying a controller is stupid if the product can't do what all of Numark PeeCeeDeeJay contorllers do. What would you buy starting out video playing software that plays mpeg2 and wmv files. Or one that plays mp4,mov,avi,wmv,divx,ipod mp4,Drm protected wmv, Drm protected Mp4. Come on!!! Wake up MM team!!!!
