I've had fusion crash alot when browsing the library and i think i've figured out the problem.

I've sent several crash dump reports already but not sure if they would identify the problem.

When I'm browsing a track i typically tap the right arrow key several times so that I'm listening to the middle more definitive part of the track.

I think the crash happens because i'm trying to scroll forward in a track that is currently loading but not quite loaded.

I can recreate this by erratically tapping the right arrow key whilst clicking on a number of different songs.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've now experienced this crash live 4 times, with different music files.

All my tracks are 192 CBR MP3, with valid CRC error detection.

More Information:

I think the crash has something to do with the way fusion previews tracks. Its a very good idea to be able to preview tracks that are automatically beatmixed to the current live track, but I don't think this feature is completely stable yet. Having the option of turning off this feature may very well fix this problem.

At the moment i'm previewing all my tracks using another program then searching and dragging into fusion.

This for me is a high priority problem, so I would appreciate any feedback or ideas on how to overcome this issue.

Would you confirm what version of Fusion you're using -- your profile still references version 6. The current version of Fusion should be 7.2.2, I think (at least, that's the current version of Studio.)

Thanks

I also tried previewing using the ENTER key and scrolling with the mouse, still get this problem.

Also get this problem when just previewing tracks without playing live.

Besides the above workaround the only other way around this problem is to drag tracks into the current playlist and preview them that way.

Still a pain though!

so 6 weeks after posting the bug, still no acknowledgment from the development team. When exactly is the product going to be finished! Well over a year since its release and its still not stable!

In my experience, it's a rare event for an item posted in the forum bug threads to get a formal acknowledgement ... that doesn't mean that no one from MM has read it, though.

BTW, in your first post about this issue, you asked if anyone else had experienced it ... no one else has posted to say that they have had the same problem. That could have an impact on the perceived ranking of this issue compared with other bug reports.
