Hi! I noticed when using Beat Slicer mode for mp3s playing at default BPM, the quality improved, compared to the versions < MM 7.1.1. Excellent job!

However, if I switched to Turntable Style, which I mainly use to control the pitch of the song as the BPM changes slowly, the quality has decreased, simliar to what Beat Slicer mode used to have (warble and choppy). I'm currently use MM to make continuous trance albums that stream online and the BPM throughout the mix changes often (not by much, playing around 142bpm-147bpm). However, with the warble effects in the song, I don't want to air it until the Turntable Style's quality improves. Right now I have to use Beat Slicer for songs playing at original BPM, but I don't want to use Beat Slicer for songs not playing at orignal BPM constantly. I know how to use MM very well, so yea I'm very familiar with the song slicer, has a fast computer, great sound card, correct drivers, etc. So I know it has to be the algorithm that needs to be tuned up. I was wondering if you can improve Turntable Style for the next version, just like you did for Beat Slicer, which was a sucess. Thanks!

Has this been fixed or improved in 7.2 yet? I was looking at the list of changes and I didn't see any improvement. for Turntable Style =[

Turntable style will sound the same in 7.2 as 7.1.

We created turntable style as a fallback for when the beat slicer wouldn't cut it. Now that the beat slicer sounds better, turntable style shouldn't be as necessary.

Help me understand why turntable style is preferable? It sure makes it hard to key mix trance music when the music isn't in a consistent key, thanks to the turntable style algorithm.

The reason why I use turntable style is that I want the pitch of the song to change on the fly as the tempo goes up or down. Of course I can just simply change the semitones while in Beat Slicer mode, somehow it doesn't sound as good as it should be when playing at that tempo; and it applies to the whole song. To me, a song sounds good as long as the pitch/key is respected to the tempo. Even though Beat Slicer has improved, you'll still notice the difference in quality as you lower or raise the BPM, say like 5 or so. After I exported the mix, I like it to sound like real trance albums out there, like Tunnel Trance Force, etc. I know they don't stick to the original key/pitch throughout a song as the tempo changes slowly.

I wouldn't say turntable style is a fallback. I say it's a pretty nifty feature. It seems like your actually getting the same sound as you would mix in a real turntable. I know it's probably only me so far that think this feature is great. It's probably not worth as much to others users, but I wouldn't mind if the next version have the same level of improvements with Beat Slicer. Mixmeister is the only product that I believe mixing trance the easiest and worth its value! I believe many people may use it for clubs and since it's blasted on speakers, quality won't be noticeable. But since I letting people here these mixes on the internet radio, I like people to hear like I'm DJing on a turntable, except I'll be using MM as my substitute =]

I also REALLY hope that the next release will have an improved Turntable style algorithm. I use both Beat Mixing and Turntable style, depending on how I use mixmeister. If I was to mix two song and the change of tempo is, let say, 5bpm faster/slower in a interval of 20 seconds, then I would use beatmixing mode; so then you won't notice the key is changing. If I mix the two songs that are playing at the same tempo, but are not played at their original bpm, I would use Turntable style because it play at their appropriate pitch. I also don't want to go through the Key Adjustment because the adjustment I choose may not be the correct key for that tempo and have it constant throughout when it shouldn't (because what if the whole song is going a bit slower or faster). That's why turntable style takes care all that for me on the fly. It just doesn't sound good if I export the mix and let it play at some's mp3 player through their headphones (the same problem with beatmixing mode before the fix; choppy sond, echoey, etc). Set the entire mix with beatmixing mode for each song won't sound like it's playing from the turntable and sounds bad too. I often mix hardstyle stuff and for slow bpm song, I often increase it by like 5bpm. However, it's playing at the incorrect key in beatmixing mode. But if I play dancing music in a large area, the beatmixing mode is fine since they won't noticed the bad quality. Again, I hope the next release will have the turnstyle improved. I really love this product.
