I'd like to know this too. Or is there some other way to webcast in .mp3 format as opposed to .wma?

I'm afraid that shoutcasting is currently not possible. MixMeister currently supports WMA mainly for licensing reasons. That is, it is free to include WMA. MP3 carries lots of license fees, which some companies avoid by giving their product away for free.

It is possible cos I occasionaly use MMPro4 to broadcast my show on Shoutcast.

Just set the input in the winamp shoutcast plugin to 'Soundcard' instead of 'winamp' and then it will broadcast whatever is being played thru' your soundcard, so play MM4 as normal and it goes out over shoutcast (TIP: make sure you turn off anty sounds in email notifiers or teh sounds in MSN messanger cos otherwise you broadcast that too!)
Have Fun.
Lee.

This works on fusion, send out the webcast on Fusion, then just add Url for the webcast fusion is broadcasting to winamps playlist.

I don't even see an option in the Tools section of Studio 7 to do the webcasting ... where is it?

Webcasting isn't available in Studio 7, just in Fusion.

That explains it, then Wink

Is it contemplated for Studio at some point, or is there something about Studio that makes webcasting impossible?

Hey MadameFly...while I am not a pro with this software yet, I do believe the reasoning behind this is because Fusion is made for live mixing as it has the capabilities to preview your mixes on one channel while the other channel is playing the live music. Studio is just that...made for the studio to produce mixes! If I am wrong, somebody let me know but this is what I have gathered through my research.

yeah but....webcasting was part of Studio 6 (when Pro 6 also had the features you describe) so it seemed reasonable to ask why it had gone missing in Studio 7 ...
