Hello everybody, and thanks for a great software and a great forum.
I've read all posts and tutorials how to set up Winamp with MixMeister to stream via a shoutcast server. I did that with VDJ and SAM too, so I'm not totally dropped behind a wagon
I did sets in Second Life with mentioned software, and now I want to try out Mix Meister too.
I've set MM according to DJ Garat's tutorial, but when I set my IP in Winamp, it only says [Connecting to host] HTTP bla bla (same IP as I was given by command IPconfig)
And it stays like that. Should it say Connected or something? Should I hear the audio from Winamp? What am I doing wrong?
I just left VDJ simply because it lagged and took up HUGE CPU resources, and MM dont which I'm very happy of.

are you typing in the IP with the HTTP tag? If so, remmeebr that the beginning tag will be "MMS".

similar to ----> mms://yourIPaddresshere:whateversubroutinehere

*** Wait..wait wait...that's strictly within MM itself that you'll stream from there. I need to go back and review that part of the turtorial again...

You got me thinking...
What I did was that I only typed in my IP adress and nothing more in Winamp, 192.168.0.0.
After I read your post i also typed in mms:// in front of that IP, still nothing.
Then I went back to DJ Garat's tutorial and I can't believe that I missed one important thing; the port number! I was wondering what you meant with "whateversubroutinehere" Then it went clear to me...
So it was simple, what Winamp need is mms://ipadresshere : portnumberhere
and voila yay woot, it works!

Thanks for getting my brain flushed with new fresh ideas lol.

This works fine but the only problem i had was on the shoutcast server instead of the whats playing ie: the track it always showed my mms:// my ip etc

as i added the url in winamp to listen to.

ive messed with the settings etc but i cant get winamp to actually show the current playing track.

Now this is just a guess but i dont think when mm is in webcasting mode it actually supplies the track and artist info, i think its just supplying the music stream

Maybe someone will know?
