I just need to hear the music in my heapdphones and broadcast my live mix on the internet - please explain me how to do that, it is really important! Many thanks in advance - Gabriela.

I don't believe Fusion offers webcasting...if I'm not mistaken.

This could be one of your "hangups".

Does MM Studio offer webcasting? Or do u know any other software similar to MM that can offer it?

Fusion level products are essentially v.7 ... Studio 7 doesn't offer any webcasting capability, and although Fusion makes reference to webcasting on the Audio Configuration panel, there is no mention of how to make it work in the Help file.

It is entirely possible (though I don't really have any "official info" to back this up) that MM may be moving away from the whole webcasting thing because it opens up the issues of licensing the music and paying the royalties ... this, of course, would not be MM's problem, it would be an issue for the DJ doing the webcasting. But, still....

Also, of course, webcasting isn't going to work as intended unless you have a static IP, and most folks don't.

Version 6 MM products did still have webcasting options and also instructions in the Help file, but these are disappearing out of Fusion level products, as far as I can tell.

This was the instruction set in Studio 6:

quote:
To start a webcast

On the Tools menu, choose Audio Output Configuration.

Select Webcasting.

From the Main output (Webase format) drop-down list, select the Webcast format from the list that you want to use to transmit the audio data.
Higher quality audio (128 CD Quality, for example) sounds better but consumes more network resources. If you're webcasting across a conventional modem, you'll need to use the lower speeds. For example, the 28.8 FM Stereo format should work on a 33.6 modem.

If you plan to offer both Hi-Fi and Lo-Fi streams for your listeners, choose one of the options at the end of the list (such as: Windows Media – 128kbps + 32kbps).

Click OK.
MixMeister Studio is ready to send the main playback to the webcast. You can still preview the mix through your computer's speakers.

Click the Play from Cursor Position button .
The webcast address is displayed in the status bar in the lower right of the screen. It will look like this:

mms://mycomputer:7007

(Optional, requires Windows Media Player or equivalent.) To hear what you are sending across the network, choose Monitor Webcast on the Tools menu.

Windows Media Player opens and plays the webcast through your computer speakers. Keep in mind that what you hear will lag about 10 seconds behind what MixMeister Studio is playing.

I really don't know if these same instructions will work in Fusion.

I got something for your mind, your body and your soul.
