Now I've created my masterpiece, is it possible to stream it on a shoutcast server? If so how?

Cheers ;D

I suggest you use the FIND function to search the forums for the term "shoutcast".

Also, you can consider having your mixed streamed on one of the stations here at Beatmixing.com....

Thanks but the search only shows my question and your answer, lol. I don't have a problem streaming a premixed set as a saved mp3, but I was wondering if it was possible to stream a live set on the fly?

You must've limited your search to this particular forum ... thus you missed this entire section on webcasting. Check it out.

Thanks, silly me.

As far as I understand it....

MM studio 7 doesn't let you webcast, MM Fusion does but only as WMA's and not via a shoutcast server.

I've tried webcasting on fusion by changing the audio options to webcast but it doesn't let you configure for a server. Going from what's on the forums it's only possible to webcast mp3's to a shoutcast server by using winamp's shoutcast server to use the soundcard input....but this doesn't work for me.

The only option seems to be to use mms://myip:7007 which on my naff broadband connection might allow 2-4 people to listen to my mix.

Is this correct? If so, it's such a shame as it means none of the mixmeister products do what I want them to.

lol DnC, I've been doing this for 3 months!!! I know it works, was just a pain in the arse to work it out in the first place!

Just a thought, can we get the other thread turned into a stick, I see from the history in the Webcasting section, a lot of people have been asking the same question about Shoutcast.
