Please post your comments or test results. Thank you. mms://djhinrg.dyndns.org:7007 [Offline] Setup for Dummies: *First you want to ask yourself if you want to reveal your ip address or not. Yes: Easy setup No: Lots of steps Firewall? I have home network setup using: Linksys WRT54GS *I'm sure many newer routers these days are abit more simple and users friendly. 1. Open your internet browser. 2. Type 192.168.1.1 3. Enter in Password = admin then proceed. 4. Locate Applications & Gaming tab or Port Range Forward options. 5. Here you want to setup and open port 7007. - Application (enter MMS or any name) - Start 7007 > End 7007 - Protocol = Both - IP Addresss 192.168.1.x [ "x" depends on your network. either set at 1 or which range you use for the pc you will stream on. If you have your connection on auto connect to the internet then use your router's: 192.168.1.1] - Save Settings > Continue 6. Check your IP Address. Open your browser and goto http://www.myip.dk/ . - The first line is your internet IP Address. 7. Now your streaming link will be: mms://YourIP:7007 ============================== *If you don't want to reveal your IP Address for security reason then proceed this steps continue from step 7. 8. Visit http://www.dyndns.org/ 9. Create your free account 10. Check your E-mail and activate it. 11. Go back to http://www.dyndns.org/ and login. 12. Locate this then click Dynamic DNS. === 13. Now Add DNS. === 14. Ok this is where you get to decide. box1- insert your registered domain name here.(Depends what you registered via your email earlier) box2- select which extension you want here BUT I would select "dyndns.org" (I will explain this later) box3- leave this box. It automatically detect and inserts your ip address here for you. === 15. Click Add Host. 16. Now to check if everything went well. You should see your DNS active here. NOTE: If you choose to go this route then you need to open your Router and do this: 1. Open internet browser and type: 192.168.1.1 2. Enter password: admin (leave the user box blank/ignore it) 3. Now locate Setup tab. Find DDNS page on your router. Should look like this (Linksys) box1: Select DynDNS.Org box2: Enter your user account here. (From what you registered at https://www.dyndns.org/) box3: Enter your password here. (From what you registered at https://www.dyndns.org/) box4: Enter your Host name here. (From what you registered at https://www.dyndns.org/) Example: If your registered name is "djmms" then it would be "djmms.dyndns.org". 4. Save settings. ============================== MixMeister Time!!! 1. Fire up your MixMeister (I have MixMeister Pro 6.0.7.0) 2. Load your Mix (*.mmp) 3. Goto Tools > Output Audio Configuration box1: Select whatever is available. here I've seleected Windows Media 128 kbps, Better than CD Quality. box2: Select your audio output. I have a nice, if not better, Audigy 2ZS Audio sound card. Works for me 4. Click OK and you are almost done! 5. Locate LIVE tool bar and click Play! NOTE: Testing your stream. 1. Open your Windows Media (version 9-10). I updated to v10 which is the best. 2. Right click anywhere on the player or find File in the menu. 3. Select Open URL. 4. Enter your stream address. *If you chose NOT to reveal your IP then it would be: Example: mms://yourIP:7007 (use this link to check your current internet IP http://www.myip.dk/ *If you chose to hide your IP using DynDNS free service then it would look like this: Example: mms://djmms.dyndns.org:7007 or http://djmms.dyndns.org:7007 NOTE: "djmms" <--- is whatever you registered at https://www.dyndns.org Cross your fingers! I hope my methods will help. Good luck & Enjoy! ========================= This message has been edited. Last edited by: Dj HiNRG, |

Wow! Very complete instructions -- thanks! With all that to handle, it's no surprise that we're not all doing it
I will be studying this closely, although now that storm season is just about here would not be the best time to initiate a webcast (I tend to keep the PCs shut down during the worst of the summer lightning activity, so listeners would never know when to tune in....) I got something for your mind, your body and your soul. |

That bit refers to accessing the admin page of the router. If you've not got a router or it's a different network configuration then it's not needed/different.
Essentially what this step (1-7) is saying is that if you have a firewall/router you need to ensure that port forwarding is set up to route traffic on port 7007 to the internal ip address on your network that is running MM. |
