I'm using Mixmeister Fusion 7, which I think is great, but I don't have a Webcast option under the Audio Output Configuration settings?

I seen various posts saying that this option was taken out? However, I've seen other posts saying that you should be able to webcast in the Fusion version?

Thanks

It has been temporarily removed while we make some improvements and fixes for the next version.

Kind Regards

My understanding also was that the feature was removed from Studio 7 but remained available in Fusion ... what does Technical Support say? Or, you could PM to MM_Simon who probably also has that information....

Cry that's a shame.

I DJ in Second Life and was hoping to use MM. Because I don't have the webcast option, I tried using SimpleCast to grab the sound directly from my soundcard and then stream to my Shoutcast server. However, the sound quality was really bad (tinny with no bass)

So I tired using WinAMP instead, configuring it to take the input from my sound card. But this was poor quality also. Therefore, I think it is because I'm not using the webcast option and taking the sound directly from the sound card. If I play music through Windows Media Player, then it sounds fine - so I think it's the interaction between MM and SimpleCast/WinAMP

If anyone knows of any other way of streaming sound from MM without using the webcast option, I'd be interested in any suggestions.

Cheers

The easiest way is to use sam broadcaster and stream the audio taken directly from your card through to shoutcast

see here

alternatlvely you can use winamp and the ahoutcast plugin, but i can produce much better quality with sam

I remember that post about sam ... I think a lot of Live365 folks have recommended that also ... could you post a link to the sam s/w in that original thread?

In a lot of the older versions of Sam Broadcaster 2.0 to about 3 you could choose a lot more options of quality and where you wanted to send the stream, ie live365 and shoutcast and icecast etc

The more modern versions 4.3.6 i think it is currently they have changed lots of the bits and i dont think it is as good as it used to be. but its still plenty good enough for a streamed show across the net.

If i get time ill do a tutorial with some pics

Simon,

What is the webcast status on Fusion 7? I could really use it next week and I just noticed that it was removed. Also I moved over to MAC OSX was it ever there?

I'm trying to use Fusion through a Pro 25 track broadcast mixing desk into SAM, however I cannot ascertain how to provide the 'now playing' info (using Fusion in Performance mode for it's "Super Stability".

If the webcast options have been removed from Fusion, then this is a real retrograde step - and really ought to be removed from the list of features on the Mixmeister website otherwise they could find themselves in difficulty with Trading Standards bodies for false advertising!

OMFG, pleas someone tell me i am not screwed. This reason: It has been temporarily removed while we make some improvements and fixes for the next version.

Thats is so unacceptable, why the heck do you think we bought Fusion for, to WEBCAST. Leave the feature in, and improve and fix it for the next version, whats so hard about that. At least you can do is help me find an old version that i can use, i have 3 days before my show, i need to webcast, or i want my money back or something Smile BLARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG,

Hello, if any one needs an older version which supports this please contact support directly and they will be happy to help. We recommend running it in XP comparability mode.

We had to pull the feature due to a problem with the way it was working on Windows Vista/7. It was causing the program to crash. The feature is being rebuilt from the ground up to make it compatible with more modern standards currently.

Kind Regards

There is always virtual audio cable to do this.

Basically, you set your main output to this "virtual audio cable" soundcard.

Then use EdCast and input from the "virtual audio cable" and stream wherever you like Razz

Best thing about this, you're not encoding twice like in the sticky. This is output straight to your MP3 or vorbis encoder.
